Commanders are roaming bosses (Colossus, Deathstalker, the Main NK Battle Tank) that resist standard weapons and drop prized 3D Printer ingredients (official, 5 Oct).
Named Commanders. Colossus, a seven-foot armoured soldier with a minigun firing depleted uranium rounds; Deathstalker, a helicopter-sized autonomous drone with two machine-gun turrets, one of four enemy drone types (a captured SAM Site is especially useful against it); and the North Korean battle tank [1] [2]. The June list also had drone swarms, Juggernauts and Elite Strike Teams; attack and Deathstalker helicopters arrive as reinforcements at high threat [3].
How they work. Always present in Hajin, heavily armoured, able to shrug off many standard weapons, and they draw nearby enemies and rival squads into the fight [2] [1]. They show on your Tac-Map when close, and your Team Leader warns you. No intel can be bought for them, but the Boss Board gives free information [1]. The first kill of each Commander pays DMZ Cash, and killing one and extracting yields valuable 3D Printer Ingredients; more rewards for multiple Commanders are classified [1]. See Threat Escalation system, Locations of interest: stations, caches, towers, compounds (SAM Sites).
