Dog Tags reward DMZ Cash when extracted from Wanted players, and the Dog Tag Case is reported to unlock at DMZ Level 20.

Collect from Lieutenants or rival Operators; exfilling with them pays but makes you trackable ^[1]. Every Operator wears their own Dog Tag, which rises from Steel I to Onyx III as they earn DMZ XP (one Trait Point per level, Trait Points and trait trees) and shows their Bounty and Operator kill count; another player who kills you can take it, and a recovered MIA Operator gets theirs back ^[2]. Extracting a Wanted player's tag pays their Bounty (Bounty system and notoriety).

A Lieutenant drops a Dog Tag Case: after the kill the tag shows on every Operator's Tac-Map, picking the Case up also broadcasts your position, and extracting with it advances the Boss Board ^[3] ^[2]. Tags you took from other players are shown at the FOB's Dog Tag Case station.
