Prestige a fully levelled Operator (18 Trait Points) by giving up rare gear and DMZ Cash; each Prestige adds a random permanent Trait, up to three.
Optional, per Operator, and separate from the 1 to 55 player level, the 1 to 70 DMZ level (DMZ progression: levels 1–70 and Dog Tag levels) and other MW4 prestige [1]. It opens once an Operator has earned 18 Trait Points (Trait Points and trait trees) and is not MIA.
What it costs [1]. First Prestige: two weapons (Rare or better, with three attachment slots), a Rare plate carrier, a Rare backpack, four Rare 3D Printer Ingredients and 200,000 DMZ Cash. Second: two weapons with four attachment slots, plus an Epic plate carrier, Epic backpack and four Epic ingredients, and 300,000. Third and every later one: the Legendary versions and 500,000.
What happens [1]. The gear and cash are consumed and the Operator's Traits reset; in return the Operator gets one random permanent Prestige Trait that stays even if you dismiss them, move them to another slot or change their skin. Up to three. From the fourth Prestige on you are offered another permanent Trait and either swap it for one of your three or keep the three. Prestiging several Operators also earns calling cards and rewards the guide keeps classified.
